You wanna put together a steampunk look for yourself or do something steampunky to your home or like me, love to paint steampunk, and have a colour problem?
Well not everything is copper and sepia, there are allot of colors in steampunk, beautiful, dirty, metallic and jewel.
Let me help you with sorting this thing out.
It is an alternate history, victorian-like, steam powered and gas lamp illuminated.
So yes, copper and sepia are the main thing.
But, doing only copper and sepia is boring and you don't want to be boring, don't you?
So, this is your base as far as the color scheme goes

Add accents of beige like colors and shades for light and fabric. Avoid pure white, accept for small accents on light surfaces and shadeing.

To prevent boring of 100 shades of diferent browns ad small amounts of jewel colors like emerald green, petroleum, and dark red shades. It must look rich, dirty and metallic, but never shiny.

The point is, imagine Victorian London in all its grime and glory and dark corners and beautiful parks add airships and steam machines and just run with it. Use colors that look organic and avoid anything you think looks like is to artificial of a color to belong in a Victorian era.

Have fun creating beautiful art and good luck
